Problems don’t solve themselves
Most problems don’t get smaller when you ignore them, but they grow teeth. Avoiding a tough decision doesn’t preserve optionality, it just inflates the cost of inaction. You delay the email, the restructure, the confrontation and the problem quietly compounds interest in the background. By the time you return, it’s no longer a choice between “good” and “bad, but more like “painful” or “worse”.
The mistake is thinking a perfect solution is just one brainstorm away. You rarely have full information. The real pros don’t wait for certainty, but they move through consecutive decisions that reduce uncertainty over time. Small bets. Fast feedback. Iteration over hesitation.
Leadership means stepping in, not stepping back. The only way out is through. So pick a path. Accept imperfection. Make the next best move. Then the one after that. Because when it comes to strategy, momentum is a necessity.
