Meta has a new VR device: Quest Pro, priced at $1,499. In tech space today’s ideas happen usually in 10 years from now. That’s why I’m short regarding the next 1-5 years, but long on the next 10.

What are really the main usages? Well….work, gaming, fitness & other (in this order).
The smartphone replaced the computer because it can do better most of the tasks, and while the Quest Pro has some cool features, it’s not enough (e.g. 2h battery life).

“This is the highest-end VR device — for enthusiasts, the prosumer, the sort of people who are trying to get work done,” Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg told The Verge, hence the partnership with Microsoft and Accenture.

While Apple advertises the iPhone + the Watch + the Airpods as being the ultimate (health & lifestyle) devices, the Cloud + the Glasses can be “the next big thing”. And Meta has now a real chance at it.
