At some point the market capitalisation of ZOOM was higher than EXXON's. What happened?

It’s hard to believe that at some point the market capitalisation of ZOOM was higher than all mighty EXXON.

What happened? Zoom discovered pretty fast what a “feature” is and Microsoft started to do products that just work, especially video conferencing (ie. Microsoft Teams). From there was only one simple step: network effects.

The foreseeable end of the pandemic just accelerated this decrease, coupled with people returning to offices; indeed, partially…2-3 days per week, but guess what? Video meetings become in-person meetings and the rest of the days meant just individual work.

The future of work will continue to disrupt all types of companies.
